HEATH TRANSFER
STATION
The following items are
accepted at the Heath Transfer Station on any day that it is open. Transfer Station permit stickers are
available at the Heath Post Office for $55. Hours of the Post Office are 9:30
am 1:30 pm Monday through Saturday. All of these items are covered under the
dump sticker at no additional cost to you:
Household trash and recyclable paper, plastic, bottles, and cans
Propane tanks - $5 fee
Batteries (all kinds)
Fluorescent light bulbs
Small metal items, lawn mowers, snow blowers, or
any other small item. It must be free of organic
material; example, the springs for a mattress are
accepted, but not the pillow ticking material that
makes up the mattress
Large items for the metal bin: you may dispose
of provided you obtain a sticker from the Heath
Post Office prior to the disposal. $15 fee per item.
The Transfer Station, under any circumstance, does not accept any item that has ever had refrigerant in it (even if it has a broken hose or a legal tag stating that the refrigerant has been removed)

RECYCLING
It is important that
everyone do their part to recycle its good for the environment, its good
for you, and its good for the town. And its easy.
What can be recycled:
Paper

No soda or beer holders/cartons. |
Containers

Glass bottles/jars, only clear, green, or brown, less than 2 gallons - Labels,
lids, corks, neck rings, etc. are ok
·
Aluminum, tin/steel cans and lids and aluminum foil - Labels are ok.
· Milk & juice cartons (tent top), drink boxes - Remove straws & caps, flatten.
· Plastic bottles, jars, and tubs. Remove caps, lids, pumps and wraps. Labels and detergent spouts may be left on.
No light bulbs, window or auto glass, dishes, glasses,
Pyrex, ceramics, or broken glass.
No paint or aerosol cans or other metal objects.
No plastic bags, containers over 2 gal., motor oil jugs, chemical or
Styrofoam containers or flower pots
